The best romantic song to cozy up to when it is raining.
Song: She’s Electric
Album: (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?

The song pales in comparison to the hits from the album but still gives us a glimpse of Oasis at its peak.

Amazingly mellow, touching lyrics. Is there anything Kishore Kumar couldn’t do?
Song: Bodhisattva

Weird lyrics aside, this is a nice peppy number with very cool lead guitar solos.
Song: Na Jaane Kahan

Amazing song and phenomenal singing but not original! Lifted from Uninvited by Alanis Morissette.
Song: Blue Train

This was my first exposure to John Coltrane. For a jazz novice, it takes a little effort but if you keep an open mind and relax, this composition will enrich you.

One of the few Yesudas gems in Hindi films. A nice, happy song but the musical arrangement sounds strident against Yesudas’ mellow voice.

Another beautiful Paki-rock song. Faisal Kapadia’s deep baritone mesmerises.
Song: Samajavaragamana

Great improvisations. Awesome jugalbandi between flute-mridungam on one side and violin-ghatam on the other.

@Rim Jhim Gire Sawan – absolutely deserves a perfect score. One of those songs which is so romantically popular and makes people forget about the movie itself. I like the picturization as well. Bachchan’s simple looks and on-screen rendition of the score makes it a treat to watch. Mausami of course looks cute as always! Just a trivia – groom sitting next to Bachchan in this song in Anwar Ali (comedian Mehmood’s younger brother who played the bus driver in Bombay to Goa) Apparently a very close friend of B and also has released a book on him “Amitabh and I”

@Door Gagan…-no doubt. Kishore was a wonder-boy among the playback singers. Who can forget his “Aake Seedhi lage” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HidXrrkcmCQ) from Half ticket where he sang both male and female version..

@Chitchor – beautiful song. While most of Yesudas songs are melodies, I think he is The Best when it comes to singing lullabies. While i thought Teri Akhiyon mein nanha (Sadma) was best, couple of days back I heard the original of a Kannada lori “Jojo laali” for the first time on FM..Simply FANTASTIC.
