A significant number of MySwar users are not just music lovers but also data/analytical geeks. While they enjoy MySwar for the level of detail it provides and the many ways in which it allows them to explore Hindi film music, many have expressed an interest in extracting information from our database so that they can do their own analysis. We have made a small beginning in this direction.
The popular Advanced Search feature on MySwar now allows user to download their search results as a comma-delimited csv file. The Extract option is available if the search result count is less than 200. It allows users to download either lists of films or songs depending on the type of Search Results they choose in the Advanced Search page. The list is in English or Devnagri depending on the language mode on MySwar
